About Full Time Hifz

To ensure your child has an optimal learning experience we have a few requirements that all students must meet before admission. We want to make sure your child is capable of our program and standard, so no time or money is wasted. In doing so, we can anticipate meeting our goal of completion in 3 years (Insha Allah). If your child meets ALL of the following, we encourage you to register them.

Hifz Program Requirements:

The requirements for a Hifz program, which is a program focused on memorizing the Quran, can vary depending on the institution or mosque offering the program. However, here are some common requirements:

  • Age: Many Hifz programs admit students who are typically between the ages of 7 and 15, although this can vary. Some programs may have specific age criteria for admission.
  • Basic Quranic Recitation Skills: Students are generally expected to have basic Quranic recitation skills before entering a Hifz program. This may involve being able to read the Quran in Arabic with proper pronunciation.
  • Commitment: Memorizing the entire Quran is a significant commitment that requires time, effort, and dedication. Prospective students are often required to demonstrate a strong commitment to the program and a sincere desire to memorize the Quran.
  • Behavior and Discipline: Since the Hifz program involves a disciplined routine and a focus on religious learning, students are often expected to demonstrate good behavior, discipline, and respect for the Islamic teachings.
  • Interview or Assessment: Some programs may require students to undergo an interview or an assessment to gauge their readiness for the program. This may include evaluating the student’s current level of Quranic memorization and recitation skills.
  • Parental Consent and Support: For younger students, parental consent and support are usually required. Parents are expected to be actively involved in supporting their child’s participation in the Hifz program.
  • Educational Background: Some programs may have educational requirements, such as a minimum level of schooling or literacy, to ensure that students can grasp the teachings and meanings of the Quran more effectively.
  • Physical and Mental Health: Memorizing the Quran requires mental focus and discipline. Students are generally expected to be in good physical and mental health to handle the demands of the program.

It’s important to note that the specific requirements can vary, and interested individuals should contact the institution or mosque offering the Hifz program directly to get detailed information about their admission criteria and any additional requirements.
